hey
guys sorry im a lil late i had to leave the computer yesterday after
10 minutes because of a baptism interview my comp had to do for the
sisters so heres the day late letter.
we had to drop a whole block of investigators...., some really crappy Argentine shoes!!!, and naomi
so
this past transfer has been sort of a heart breaker. this past month we
have really been focusing on this area thats basically a HUGE ghetto
but we had recent converts that lived there. so we were thinking hey we
can use them to teach everyone. and for a while thats what we were doing
for a solid week we had 9 people from the same street that told us that
they wanted to be baptised and go to church!!! but for the past 3 weeks
we passed by every single one of their houses and not one of them
went... 3 strikes and your out :P so my comp and i have officially
WAISTED A MONTH!!!! + had to drop a whole freakin area of our area. its a
huge bummer. this sunday we showed up at church SUPER later again and
just TICKED OFF!!! so after sacriment meeting we left to go contact
people that lived close to the church trying to turn a bad day into a
good one. and well tbh it just made it a worst one. it was a cold, early
sunday morning so ovcorse nobody wants to talk and after an hour and a
half of getting doors shut in our faces i sorta exploded on this poor
RUDE grandma and told her that if she didnt listen to us she wouldent go
to heaven... haha so that ticked her off more and she started going off
on Jahova witness stuff (i think she was one) and after a few minutes
of hearing a little religious rage i took out a calling card and flicked
it into her yard and said if she wanted to know the truth to call us. i
know i know NOT A GOOD THING TO DO!!! but theirs only so much you can
take before you gotta just let it all out hah
SO
my 2nd transfer in argentina i got tired of wearing the sexy rockports
my mama bought me with my suit so i went out and bought me a nice 50
dollar pair of good looking dress shoes to wear with my suit. but when
my rockports blew up i stated using them almost everyday and well
needless to say last week i had to let them go. they started hurting my
feet so bad that i walked a mile home in my sox hahah so like a normal
19 year old boy i tied the laces together and threw them into the
telefone lines infront of our house haha gotta have fun in the mish :)
so
naomi is a sweet little woman whos sorta permafryed but has a heart of
gold. so we have been teaching her the leccions and to be honest i think
ive learned more from her than shes learned from me. she has this big
problem because she knows that what we talk about is true and shes told
us that she feels amazing and comforted when shes with us. but she just
will not act on what shes feeling. and its not just her were ive seen
this, we are here to learn and live. to mess up and fix it to feel happy
and sad and to make decisions that will have big impacts on our lives.
guys just dont ever be afraid to do what feels right. and dont ever
forget that if you dont know what is right their is one guy who does and
all we have to do to figure our stuff out is to talk with him.
